9 PM Eye Drop is a prostaglandin analog that is used for the treatment of increased fluid pressure inside the eye (intraocular hypertension) and open-angle glaucoma, a progressive condition that may eventually lead to vision loss. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age.

9 PM Eye Drop is used in the treatment of ocular hypertension and glaucoma.

What is 9 PM Eye Drop?

9 PM Eye Drop is used for Open angle glaucoma, Increased pressure in the eye and other conditions. 9 PM Eye Drop may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

How 9 PM Eye Drop working?

9 PM Eye Drop is a prostaglandin analogue. It works by decreasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye), thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.

How is 9 PM Eye Drop used?

This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

9 PM Eye Drop Indications

Use this medicine exactly as prescribed. Do not administer in larger or smaller amounts than advised/prescribed. Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable side effects. Ensure that the treatment course is completed. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Contraindication Of 9 PM Eye Drop

Hypersensitivity to 9 PM Eye Drop is a contraindication. In addition, 9 PM Eye Drop should not be used if you have the following conditions:

  • Hypersensitivity

Adverse effects Of 9 PM Eye Drop

  • Redness of the eye
  • Swelling of eyelids
  • Blurred vision
  • Darkening of eyelid skin color
  • Burning and stinging of eye
  • Eye pain
  • Eye irritation
  • Skin rash
  • Inflammation of the iris

Special Precautions And Related Warnings Of 9 PM Eye Drop

9 PM Eye Drop may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

9 PM Eye Drop should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.

9 PM Eye Drop does not usually affect your ability to drive.

Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the drop.

Your eyelashes may become more dense and eyelid skin may darken. These changes should disappear after discontinuing 9 PM Eye Drop.

Storage Conditions for 9 PM Eye Drop

Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Do not use Latanoprost after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and bottle. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Store the unopened bottle in a refrigerator (between 2°C and 8°C), protected from light. After opening the bottle it is not necessary to store the bottle in a refrigerator but do not store it above 25°C.
