What is Dorzox Eye Drop?

Dorzox Eye Drop is used for Treatment of increased intraocular pressure in ocular hypertension, Treatment of increased intraocular pressure in open-angle glaucoma, Common preservative in eyedrops, Ear drops, Nasal drops or sprays, Pseudoexfoliative glaucoma, Eye, Ear, Nose and throat irritation, Gingivitis, Eye stress, Ocular hypertension, Antiseptic and other conditions. Dorzox Eye Drop may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

How Dorzox Eye Drop working?

Dorzox Eye Drop is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. It works by decreasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye), thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.

How is Dorzox Eye Drop used?

This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

Dorzox Eye Drop Indications

Use this medicine as per the instructions on the label or the package insert. Do not instill in larger amounts than prescribed. Seek emergency medical treatment in case of any side effects. Ensure that the course of treatment is completed. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor. If you are using any other eye drops, maintain a time gap of at least 5 to 10 minutes between administering the two eye drops.

Contraindication Of Dorzox Eye Drop

Hypersensitivity to Dorzox Eye Drop is a contraindication. In addition, Dorzox Eye Drop should not be used if you have the following conditions:

  • Allergies
  • Animal bites
  • Children less than two years of age
  • Deep puncture wounds
  • Hypersensitivity to this drug
  • Patients with allergy to synthetic formulations
  • Serious burns

Special Precautions And Related Warnings Of Dorzox Eye Drop

Dorzox  Eye Drop may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Dorzox Eye Drop helps lower high pressure in the eye and reduces the risk of vision loss.

Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the drop. This minimizes the risk of side effects.

When applying multiple eye medications, wait for at least 5-15 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.

Take care to prevent contact of eye dispenser with eye, eyelid, eyelashes, or finger to avoid infection.

Storage Conditions for Dorzox Eye Drop

Store Dorzox Eye Drop at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Dorzox Eye Drop out of the reach of children and away from pets.
