What is Emeset 4mg?

Emeset Tablet is used to prevent nausea and vomiting related to highly emetogenic cancer chemotherapy, including cisplatin greater than or equal to 50 mg/m2. It is a prescription medicine. This medicine works by blocking the release of serotonin which may stimulate the vagal afferents through the 5-HT3 receptors and begin the vomiting reflex. Emeset is also used to prevent nausea and vomiting related with initial and repeat courses of adequate emetogenic cancer chemotherapy.
