It discourages the use of alcohol even in small amounts by causing unpleasant effects such as flushing of the face, vomiting, breathing difficulty, sweating, choking, and anxiety. These effects may start 10 minutes after consumption of alcohol and last for about 1 hour. This medicine only discourages drinking alcohol and is not a cure for alcoholism.

How Firam 250mg working?
Firam 250mg Tablet blocks the chemical which breaks the converted form of alcohol in the body. This leads to an increased level of converted form of alcohol in the body causing bad physical features while drinking alcohol.
How is Firam 250mg used?
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Firam 250mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Contraindication Of Firam 250mg
Hypersensitivity to Firam 250mg Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Firam 250mg Tablet should not be used if you have the following conditions:
- Coronary occlusion
- Hypersensitivity to disulfiram
- Patients currently or recently taking metronidazole, paraldehyde, alcohol, or alcohol-containing products
- Severe myocardial disease

Special Precautions And Related Warnings Of Firam 250mg
Firam 250mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
