Hepcvir L 90mg/400mg medicine is used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.
Hepcvir 400 mg medicine is an antiviral pills used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C infection. It is also used in patients with liver cancer and hepatitis C infection who are groundwork to have a liver transplantation. This medicine minimizes the chance of recurrence of the infection after the transplantation. Hepcvir 400 mg medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known the past of hepatitis B infection.
Hepcvir L 90mg/400mg pills is a combination of two antiviral medicines: Ledipasvir and Sofosbuvir. They medicine by lowering the amount of hepatitis C virus in the body and removing the virus from the lifeblood over a period of time.
Take this pills in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Hepcvir L 90mg/400mg medicine may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take Hepcvir 400 mg medicine exactly as instructed by the doctor. Do not take in larger or smaller quantities than recommended. Complete the course of treatment to prevent the spread of the infection. Report any adverse effects to the doctor immediately. Close monitoring of liver function is necessary while receiving this pills.
Missed Dose
If a dose of Hepcvir 400 mg Tablet is missed, take the dose as soon as you remember it. If it almost time for the next dose, then skip the missed dose. Do not twice the dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical nursing or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.
If ledipasvir- sofosbuvir FDC is administered with ribavirin, the contraindications to ribavirin also apply to this combination regimen. Refer to the ribavirin prescribing details for a list of contraindications for ribavirin.
Pregnancy - This pills is not recommended for use in pregnant female unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the MD before taking this pills.
Breast-feeding - This pills is not recommended for use in breastfeeding female unless absolutely urgent. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the MD before taking this pills.
Renal failure - This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a previous history of renal diseases due to the increased risk of renal failure
Hepatitis B - This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a known history of hepatitis B due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.
