How Profenac Eye Drop working?
Profenac Eye Drop is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) in the eye.
How is Profenac Eye Drop used?
This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

Strictly follow the instructions on the label and take Profenac Eye Drop only as directed. Drink plenty of water to avoid kidney damage. Contraindication Of Profenac Eye Drop
Hypersensitivity to Profenac Eye Drop is a contraindication. In addition, Profenac Eye Drop should not be used if you have the following conditions:
- History of asthma, urticaria, or other allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
- Hypersensitivity to this drug
- Treatment of peri-operative pain in the setting of coronary artery bypass graft surgery

Special Precautions And Related Warnings Of Profenac Eye Drop
Profenac Eye Drop may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Profenac Eye Drop is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Profenac Eye Drop does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Inform your doctor if you have diabetes, angina, blood clots, and high blood pressure, raised cholesterol or raised triglycerides, liver disorder of the red blood pigment (porphyria).
Avoid direct contact of gel/ lotion with your eyes. In case of direct contact, wash your eyes with water immediately and seek immediate medical attention.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Store medicines at room temperature, away from heat and direct light. Do not freeze medicines unless required by package insert. Keep medicines away from children and pets.
