What is Protoloc 40mg?
Protoloc Tablet is a prescription medicine that is used for the short-term treatment of digestive diseases in which stomach acid and bile flows back and irritates the food pipe, also known as GERD. This medicine works by suppressing the production of acid in the stomach. Protoloc Tablet is also used for the management of inflammation and irritation of the food pipe and to prevent stomach ulcers caused by the use of certain medicines.

Protoloc 40 mg Capsule is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the belly which helps in relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.
How is Protoloc 40mg used?

The typical dose of Protoloc is 40 mg once a day. The usual dose for a baby is 20 mg - 40 mg once a day. The maximum adult dose of Protoloc is 240 mg in a day. This tablet is typically used for a period of 8 weeks for erosive esophagitis associated with GERD. Protoloc is commonly used at the same time every day. It takes 2.5 hours for this medicine to start to work. This medicine is not known to be habit-forming.

Take Protoloc 40 MG Capsule at least half an hour before breakfast. Do not consume in larger amounts than advised. Consult the doctor if you experiences any undesirable effects.

Precautions And Warnings
Before you use Protoloc Tablet, tell your doctor of your medical history including upper gastrointestinal bleeding, stomach ulcers, weak bone density caused by osteoporosis, disease in which body attacks its own tissues, low magnesium level, or low vitamin B12 level in the body.
The use of this medicine may change magnesium levels in the body. If you are taking any proton force inhibitor for at least three months, this can lead to a low level of magnesium in your body. The use of Protoloc pill may change the vitamin B12 level in the body. If you are taking any proton force inhibitor over a period of more than three years, it may lead to the body not absorbing vitamin B12 properly.
