Razo 20 Tablet is used for the short-term treatment and maintenance of healing of backflow of stomach acid in the food pipe (also called, gastroesophageal reflux disease) in adults. This medicine works by preventing the amount of acid production in the stomach by blocking an organic enzyme (H+/K+ ATPase) system. This medicine helps by reducing acid secretions in the stomach.

What is Razo 20 Mg?

Razo 20 Tablet is used for the short-term treatment and maintenance of healing of backflow of stomach acid in the food pipe (also called, gastroesophageal reflux disease) in adults. This medicine works by preventing the amount of acid production in the stomach by blocking an organic enzyme (H+/K+ ATPase) system. This medicine helps by reducing acid secretions in the stomach. Razo 20 is also used for the short-term treatment of healing and relief from symptoms of small intestine ulcer (duodenal ulcer), to treat symptoms of backflow of stomach acid to the food pipe in adults, to treat small intestine infection due to bacteria (Helicobacter pylori), for the long-term treatment of overproduction of gastric acid (Zollinger-Ellison syndrome), for the short-term treatment of symptoms of backflow of stomach acid to the food pipe in 12 years and older, to treat backflow of stomach acid to the food pipe in 1 to 11 years, and to treat cancer of stomach ulcer.

How Razo 20 Mg working

Razo 20 Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn.

How is Razo 20 Mg used?

Razo 20 Tablet is eaten with or without food. Swallow the whole tablet without crushing, chewing or splitting it. Razo 20 Tablet is eaten after the morning meal. When Razo 20 is used in combination, tablets are taken twice a day, with the morning and evening meals, for 7 days.

The typical dose of Razo 20 is 20 mg/day. The usual dose for children is 5-10 mg (<15 kg body weight/<33 lb) or 10-20 mg (>15 kg body weight/>33 lb) once daily for up to 12 weeks (for capsule). This medicine is typically used for a period of 4 weeks for duodenal ulcer, 4weeks for symptomatic gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and 7 days for ulcer due to bacterial infection. This medicine is not known to be habit-forming.

This medicine is to be used for longer periods of time. Razo 20 may be taken for the long-term treatment of the overproduction of stomach acid (Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome) and reverse flow of stomach acid in the food pipe (Gastroesophageal reflux disease).

Razo 20 Mg Indications

Razo 20 MG Tablet should not be taken if there is a history of allergy to Benzimidazoles. It should be taken only after consulting a doctor and all the instructions should be followed.

Razo 20 Mg Dosage

Taking this medicine • Only remove a tablet from the blister strip when it is time to take your medicine • Swallow your tablets whole with a drink of water. Do not chew or crush the tablets • Your doctor will tell you how many tablets to take and how long to take them for. This will depend on your condition • If you are taking this medicine for a long time, your doctor will want to monitor you.

Special Precautions And Related Warnings Of Razo 20 Mg

The use of this medicine may change magnesium. Magnesium level should be checked before starting the treatment because low magnesium can happen in individuals who take a proton pump inhibitor medicine for at least three months.

Razo 20 Tablet can make you feel sleepy. Be careful when using any machinery, driving a vehicle, or doing any other activity that needs you to be fully alert. The consumption of alcohol with Razo 20 Tablet can worsen the sleepiness. Razo 20 Tablet may cause rarely seizures in some people. If you perform any activities where a loss of consciousness may cause harm to you (or others), you should discuss with your doctor.

Storage Conditions for Razo 20 Mg

Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Do not store this medicine above 25° C. Do not refrigerate. Do not use Rabeprazole after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and blister foil. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines that are no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
