How Tropicacyl Eye Drop working?
Tropicacyl Eye Drop is used to dilate or enlarge the pupil of the eye so that the doctor can examine the back of the eyeball. It may also be used to reduce pain in certain eye conditions.
How is Tropicacyl Eye Drop used?
This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

Contraindication Of Tropicacyl Eye Drop
Hypersensitivity to Tropicacyl Eye Drop is a contraindication. In addition, Tropicacyl Eye Drop should not be used if you have the following conditions:
- Children under age of 18 years
- Long term use
- Narrow angle glaucoma
- Shallow anterior chamber

- Dry mouth.
Special Precautions And Related Warnings Of Tropicacyl Eye Drop
Tropicacyl Eye Drop may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Tropicacyl Eye Drop is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
To reduce the amount of Tropicacyl Eye Drop that reaches the breastmilk, place pressure over the corner of the eye for 1 minute or more, then remove the excess solution with an absorbent tissue.
Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the drop.
Stinging sensation may occur for 1-2 mins. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Some people find the bright light (such as daylight) uncomfortable for a few hours after receiving Tropicacyl Eye Drop which may affect your ability to drive.
