Close monitoring of liver and kidney function is recommended during treatment with this medicine. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age

Uses of Xarelto 10mg
Xarelto 10mg Tablet is used for the control, treatment and prevention of conditions such as heart diseases, blood clots, and blockage of the blood vessels of the lungs. Xarelto 10mg Tablet works by reducing formation of blood clots.
What is Xarelto 10mg?
Xarelto 10mg (rivaroxaban) blocks the activity of certain clotting substances in the blood.
Xarelto 10mg is used to prevent or treat a type of blood clot called deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which can lead to blood clots in the lungs (pulmonary embolism). A DVT can occur after certain types of surgery.
Xarelto 10mg is sometimes used to lower your risk of a DVT or PE coming back after you have received treatment for blood clots for at least 6 months.
Xarelto 10mg is also used in people with atrial fibrillation (a heart rhythm disorder) to lower the risk of stroke caused by a blood clot.

Xarelto 10mg Tablet is a novel oral anticoagulant (NOAC). It works by preventing the formation of blood clots in the body.
How is Xarelto 10mg used?
Xarelto 10mg Tablet is used to prevent blood clots from forming due to a certain irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation) or after hip or knee replacement surgery. It is also used to treat blood clots (such as in deep vein thrombosis-DVT or pulmonary embolus-PE) and to prevent the blood clots from forming again. Xarelto 10mg Tablet is an anticoagulant that works by blocking certain clotting proteins in your blood.
Xarelto 10mg Indications
Take this medicine with or without food. Do not take in larger or smaller amounts than advised/prescribed. Your dose is likely to change during the duration of the therapy based on your clinical condition and therapeutic response. Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable side effects. Ensure that the treatment course is completed. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Contraindication Of Xarelto 10mg
Xarelto 10mg Tablet is contraindicated in patients with:
- active pathological bleeding
- severe hypersensitivity reaction to Xarelto 10mg Tablet
Adverse effects Of Xarelto 10mg
- Back pain
- bleeding gums
- bloody stools
- bowel or bladder dysfunction
- burning, crawling, itching, numbness, prickling, "pins and needles", or tingling feelings
- coughing up blood
- difficulty with breathing or swallowing
- increased menstrual flow or vaginal bleeding
- leg weakness
Special Precautions And Related Warnings Of Xarelto 10mg
People who have any type of spinal or epidural procedure are more likely to have bleeding problems around the spine when already on this drug. This bleeding rarely happens, but can lead to not being able to move body (paralysis) long-term or paralysis that will not go away. The risk is raised in people who have problems with their spine, a certain type of epidural catheter, or have had spinal surgery. The risk is also raised in people who take any other drugs that may affect how the blood clots like blood-thinner drugs (like warfarin), aspirin, or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Talk with the doctor.
Tell your doctor you use Xarelto 10mg before you have a spinal or epidural procedure. Call your doctor right away if you have any signs of nerve problems like back pain, numbness or tingling, muscle weakness, paralysis, or loss of bladder or bowel control.
Talk with your doctor if you have recently had or will be having a spinal or epidural procedure. Some time may need to pass between the use of Xarelto 10mg and your procedure. Talk with your doctor.
Stopping Xarelto 10mg before you are supposed to may raise the chance of blood clots. Do not stop taking Xarelto 10mg without talking to your doctor.
Storage Conditions for Xarelto 10mg
Store the tablets in a cool dry place where the temperature stays below 30 °C.
Do not store it or any other medicine in the bathroom, near a sink, or on a window-sill.
Do not leave it in the car.
Heat and damp can destroy some medicines.
