What is Acigene Mint Tablet?

This medication is an antacid, prescribed for hyperacidity. It is also used as a laxative. It reduces stomach acid and increases water in the intestine.

How Acigene Mint Tablet working

Aluminum hydroxide belongs to a class of medication call antacids. It acts by neutralizing the acids released in the stomach thus treating the above mentioned conditions. Simethicone belongs to class of medications called surface active substances. It is an antifoaming agents and works by acting on inner lining of intestine and allowing gas bubbles to come together more easily helping to release trapped wind. Magnesium hydroxide is an alkali belongs to class of medications called antacids. It works by neutralizing the acid in the stomach and by stimulating the bowels to move.

How is Acigene Mint Tablet used?

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Acigene Mint Flavor Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Avoid Acigene Mint Flavor Tablet with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.

Acigene Mint Tablet Indications

Acigene tablet is helpful in providing relief from peptic ulcer, gastritis, heartburn, oesophagitis, and other dyspeptic conditions associated with hyperacidity.

Acigene Mint Tablet Dosage

Do not use more than prescribed dose. Taking more medication will not improve your symptoms; rather they may cause poisoning or serious side-effects. If you suspect that you or anyone else who may have overdosed of Acigene Mint Flavor Tablet, please go to the emergency department of the closest hospital or nursing home. Bring a medicine box, container, or label with you to help doctors with necessary information.

Do not give your medicines to other people even if you know that they have the same condition or it seems that they may have similar conditions. This may lead to overdosage.

In case you miss a dose, use it as soon as you notice. If it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your dosing schedule. Do not use extra dose to make up for a missed dose. If you are regularly missing doses, consider setting an alarm or asking a family member to remind you. Please consult your doctor to discuss changes in your dosing schedule or a new schedule to make up for missed doses, if you have missed too many doses recently.
