Acnedap Gel 5% is used for Acne, Pimples and chronic autoimmune skin condition, Skin diseases, Dermatitis herpetiformis and other conditions. Acnedap Gel 5% may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide. Acnedap Gel 5% contains Dapsone Topical as an active ingredient. Acnedap Gel 5% works by treating the acne vulgaris infection.

Acnedap Gel 5% is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the production of folic acid in acne-causing bacteria (P. acnes), thereby stopping their growth. In addition, its antiinflammatory effects help reduce redness and swelling due to acne.
