What is Asacol 400mg?
Asacol Tablet is used for Crohn's ileocolitis, Ulcerative colitis and other conditions. Asacol Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Asacol Tablet contains Mesalazine as an active ingredient.
Asacol Tablet works by reducing the inflammation and prevents further swelling and ulcers.
How Asacol 400mg working
Asacol 400 mg Tablet is an aminosalicylate. It works by suppressing the production of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause inflammation (swelling) in the intestines. This reduces ulceration, bleeding and painful symptoms, and prevents future flare-ups of the disease.
Asacol 400mg Indications
Take Asacol 400 mg Tablet with or without food. Do not take in larger amounts than advised/prescribed. Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable side effects. Ensure that the course of treatment is completed. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.
