Bimat Eye Drop (With Brush) is used for treating ocular hypertension (by draining fluid from the eye) or increased pressure in the eye and open-angle glaucoma. It comes in the form of eye drops. This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to any ingredient of Bimat Eye Drop (With Brush). Bimat Eye Drop (With Brush) is included in a class of medications called prostaglandin analogs.

What is Bimat Eye Drop (With Brush)?

Bimat Eye Drop (With Brush) is used for Glaucoma, Ocular hypertension, Lengthening eyelashes and other conditions. Bimat Eye Drop (With Brush) may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

How Bimat Eye Drop (With Brush) working?

Bimat Eye Drop (With Brush) is a combination of two medicines: Bimatoprost and Timolol. Bimat Eye Drop (With Brush) is a prostaglandin analogue while Timolol is a beta blocker. They work by decreasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye), thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.

How is Bimat Eye Drop (With Brush) used?

This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

Use this medicine exactly as prescribed. Do not administer in larger or smaller amounts than advised/prescribed. Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable side effects. Ensure that the treatment course is completed. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Contraindication Of Bimat Eye Drop (With Brush)

Hypersensitivity to Bimat Eye Drop (With Brush) is a contraindication. In addition, Bimat Eye Drop (With Brush) should not be used if you have the following conditions:

  • Abnormal liver function tests
  • Absent eye lens
  • Hypersensitivity
  • Inflammation of the iris
  • Inflammation of the uvea of the eye
  • Macular swelling and degeneration of the eye

Special Precautions And Related Warnings Of Bimat Eye Drop (With Brush)

Pregnancy - This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before using this medicine.

Breast-feeding - This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before using this medicine. Your doctor may prescribe a safer alternative based on your clinical condition. If the medicine is used, monitor the infant closely for any adverse effects.

Contact lens - The ophthalmic form of this medicine is not recommended for use if you are wearing soft contact lenses. The lens should be removed prior to administration of the eye drops and can be reinserted after 15 minutes of administration.

Bacterial keratitis - If the ophthalmic solution of this medicine is contaminated by bacteria, it can lead to an infection of the cornea (bacterial keratitis). Patients are advised to take all hygienic precautions to ensure that the medicine is not contaminated.

Eyelash changes and Pigmentation - Use of this medicine may cause some changes in eyelashes such as increased length, thickness, pigmentation, a misdirected growth of eyelashes, etc. This medicine may also change the eye color by increasing the amount of brown pigment in the iris.

Use in pediatrics - This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 16 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Driving or operating machines - This medicine may cause blurred vision in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience this symptom during treatment with this medicine.

Storage Conditions for Bimat Eye Drop (With Brush)

Store medicines at room temperature, away from heat and direct light. Do not freeze medicines unless required by package insert. Keep medicines away from children and pets.

Bimat With Brush Eye Drop

I didn't give it a perfect 5 because I ordered Bimat With Brush Eye Drop and I usually get one brush per bottle. I ordered 6 bottles and only got 2 brushes.
