Careprost Eye Drop is a prostaglandin analog that is used for the treatment of increased fluid pressure inside the eye (intraocular hypertension) and open-angle glaucoma, a progressive condition that may eventually lead to vision loss. The topical ophthalmic form of this medicine is used for the treatment of inadequate amount of eyelashes (hypotrichosis); it increases their length, thickness, and darkness. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 16 years of age.

How is Careprost Eye Drop used?
This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

Use this medicine exactly as prescribed. Do not administer in larger or smaller amounts than advised/prescribed. Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable side effects. Ensure that the treatment course is completed. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Contraindication Of Careprost Eye Drop
Hypersensitivity to Careprost Eye Drop is a contraindication. In addition, Careprost Eye Drop should not be used if you have the following conditions:
- Abnormal liver function tests
- Absent eye lens
- Inflammation of the iris
- Inflammation of the uvea of the eye
- Macular swelling and degeneration of the eye

- Burning or itching of eyes

Special Precautions And Related Warnings Of Careprost Eye Drop
Careprost Eye Drop may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Careprost Eye Drop helps lower high pressure in the eye and reduces the risk of vision loss.
Careprost Eye Drop may cause brown pigmentation of the iris which may be permanent.
Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
Your eyelashes may become more dense and eyelid skin may darken. These changes should disappear after discontinuing Careprost Eye Drop.
Storage Conditions for Careprost Eye Drop
Careprost Eye Drop should be stored at room temperature. It should be kept away from the reach and sight of children. The bottle of Bimatoprost ophthalmic solution should not be used more than one month of opening it. You should throw away the left amount of the product after one month. Do not keep it in the window sill as heat and dampness can destroy some medications.
