Donep 10mg Tablet is used in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and dementia in Parkinson's disease. It should be used in patients with moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease.
What is Donep 10mg?
Donep 10mg Tablet is used for Dementia of the alzheimer's type, Dementia of the alzheimer’s type and other conditions. Donep 10mg Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide. Donep 10mg Tablet contains Donepezil as an active ingredient.
How Donep 10mg working?
Memory loss in Alzheimer’s disease occurs due to disturbances of signal transmission in the brain. Donep 10mg Tablet is a cholinesterase inhibitor. It works by increasing the levels of a chemical messenger (acetylcholine) involved in transmmission of nerve signals. This improves memory and thinking.
How is Donep 10mg used?
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Donep 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Take Donep 10mg Tablet at the same time every day. Do not take in larger amounts than advised. Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable effects. Do not take this medicine if you have any gastrointestinal disease and lung diseases.

Contraindication Of Donep 10mg
Hypersensitivity to Donep 10mg Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Donep 10mg Tablet should not be used if you have the following conditions:
- Hypersensitivity to donepezil hydrochloride or to piperidine derivatives

Special Precautions And Related Warnings Of Donep 10mg
Donep 10mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Donep 10mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Donep 10mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Donep 10mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Donep 10mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Donep 10mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Donepezil hydrochloride is not intended for use in children and adolescents younger than 18 years.
Do not take donepezil hydrochloride, if you are allergic to donepezil hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Storage Conditions for Donep 10mg
Store it at controlled room temperature (15° to 30°C), and in an airtight container.
