This medication is used to treat acne. It may decrease the number and  roughness of pimple acnes and promote fast healing of acnes that do develop. Tretoin Gel 0.1% belongs to a class of medications called retinoids. It works by affecting the promotion of skin cells.

Precautions And Warnings

It may increase the severity of the lesions in the first few weeks of use. Continue using it as prescribed by your doctor.

Avoid exposure to sunlight while using Tretoin Gel 0.1% as it increases the sensitivity of your skin. Use Defensive measures such as sun-cream or protective dressing.

Tretoin Gel 0.1% is unsafe to use during lactation. Data suggests that the medicine may cause toxicity to the baby, or the mother is suffering from a term in which breastfeeding is not advisable.
