Velpanat 400mg/100mg medicine is used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.

What is Velpanat Tablet?

Velpanat 400mg/100mg pills is used in combination with other medicine such as ribavirin, daclatasvir and peginterferon to treat chronic hepatitis C.It functions by reducing the hepatitis C virus in the body. This helps to keep liver disorders such as cirrhosis and liver cancer at bay.

How is Velpanat Tablet used?

Take this pills in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Velpanat 400mg/100mg medicine may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

There can be contraindications because of the combination. It can induce the liver enzymes that can reduce the effectiveness of this particular drug.

If you miss a shot of Sofosbuvir, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is nearly time for your next shot , skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Even if the patient is using the nutritional addition or vitamins, he cannot keep the MD unlearned  in case he is using Velpanat for the cure of Hepatitis C. The MD can change the dosage of all these extra medicine in case he is informed well in time and by this the problem of the patient will not  intensify.
